Corporate and Institutions

There is a proud tradition in the western world of rewarding a person’s achievements with a portrait. This goes as far back as the Romans and Egyptians.

The purpose of such a portrait is to record for history the visual appearance of notable individuals. It is a great honor to be part of a profession that is responsible for letting the world see what Napoleon, Washington and Queen Elizabeth I, looked like. Although photography has taking over recording most of history, the painted portrait is still required for those among us who have led remarkable lives in business, academics or civil service.

Painting these individuals is an honor and I make sure that I fully understand their backgrounds and achievements that brought them to this place in their lives. I will work personally with the individual and their family to make sure that I capture their true personality.

Consideration is also given to where the painting will hang. Many are in public places alongside other portraits and size and frame style will be carefully studied.
